Annotated Bibliography:
Article: Digital Rights and Wrongs, from "Economist", 07/17/99, Vol. 352 Issue 8128, p75-76
Summary: In the article Digital rights and wrongs from the Economist newspaper, the writer is concerned about digital-rights management acts, which are to protect copyrights of writers. The writer is worried that such acts will give publishers too much power and therefore “restricting the flow of information” (“Digital rights and wrongs”, 1999). The writer also suggests that if copyright acts go out of control, laws may have to be setup in order to protect the rights of users in the future.
