Hela:

Hey guys, here is a collaboration page where you can write any questions or concerns for the organizors and they will reply. Please add it into your links. "http://eng11214n.pbwiki.com/"  Thanks.

March 24 2007- Joseph:

As you know I've collaborated a google doc page with you, please check it regularly as there will be useful information on there, and any questions or suggestions or mistakes on my page can be addressed in the message box found at the very bottom of my page. Also, worth noting is the link for our new conference site and new forum; other than that, Laura, your liason, will make sure your group is on top of things. Cheers! March 23 2007-Joseph:

Maybe I'm wrong, but I thought the Globeteers' Group were doing Global Digital Divide and Trisha's Group was doing Gender Digital Divide,...what exactly is the focus of your Digital Gap/ Internet Interaction? Maybe focusing on the Gaming aspect would be more interesting. Kelsey, I'm not sure if the gender gap on internet usage would be as exciting when Trisha's Group is working on that topic... check out the proposals for our class, the Globeteers Group didn't have a title and neither did Luca's Group. Now, I don't know if working on very similar topics is fine with Erika, but I'll find out. Meanwhile, work hard =]

ERIKA: You need to begin a collaboration page on a google doc and link it into this space -  on your homepage. Please take a look at other research spaces and their collaboration pages so you can see what I expect, enjoy your work, and get it done --too.

Take a look at this Collaborating page

to get an idea of how I want to work with you and what I expect.

Also, check my journal page today.

Hooray! The renovation is complete. I hope you guys like it.

I looked at some other groups' homepage, and I was WOWed. Some of them have all these amazing banners, frontpages, links, pictures, backgrounds, and countless other cool stuffs.............BUT, I don' like it = =. What I propose is that we only keep 2 pages: Homepage and Message board. Homepage is where we post our works, and message board is where we leave...well...messages to each other, also Erika will comment here.

I'm sorry that I changed the format of some of the messages, but I really like the current format of this message board(clean and concise), so if you guys don't mind from now on I will change every message into form like this. It is absolutely fine to leave your message without all these bold and colour. I'll just pick up what you left off.

Now all we need is the content.

I suppose we are doing research on something about ages that relates to digital literacy.

>to Lukas: your article link doesnt work @ @

Hi Lucus, Waylon and Kelsy -- I expected to come and see your summaries here today - I am worried about your group, because as you are discovering, and as I have been saying -- research takes time. Your first summaries for proposals were due last Friday, your second summaries were due last Tuesday, and your collaboration of your summaries : Orchestartion --  is due today - and, other than Lucus, none of you have even begun. So - how on earth are you going to catch up and have the material to begin creating a presentation for the conference, which is what we will being doing in class on Tuesday? It is up to all three of you to catch up if you want to be a part of the conference.  Lucus, because you did find an article and write a proposal, I am going to suggest that your continue with this article, write a summary NOW - post it on your google doc and create a page here for your summaries, look at the other groups - and Kelsy and Waylon, find some articles that relate to Lusuc's proposa, it is not that difficult, it just takes time to hunt ... this is reasearching and you need to learn how to manage your research time. As you practice you will learn techniques for saving time - but if you do not even get started I can not assist you.

Please post each new message at the top of the page with a date. Thanks.

Since I couldn't really find anything base on the searching of "digital literacy and literacy criticism" (first of all, I don't really understand what is your topic, so really, I can't find much.), so I decided come back tomorrow.

>to Kelsey: It would be awsome if you can post what is the center of your topic. I have not a slightest idea of what do we need. --> Waylon, you need to check my guidelines and instructions, they are clear enough and posted on my journal page on a regular basis. If you are still confused, please do come and see me anytime during my office hours, I will be happy to assist you.

>to Lucus: I think this space, where we leave our messages like this, should have its own webpage namely the message board.

Kelsey, what did you type in to get articles for your topic? "digital literacy" and  "literacy criticism"? because it says "No results were found"

I am pleased to see your group page beginning, I gather this is a Wiki template?

Now - we need your research proposals - today! The conference organizers need to create a name and a theme for our conference so that they can set up our webspace - they can not do their job until each group has a research proposal.  So - please go to your journal pages and complete this assignement according to my guidelines today.
